As a society, weâve never had more options and opportunities available to us than today yet it doesnât always seem to lead to more happiness, satisfaction, fulfillment, security, or better health.
Despite having more alternative nutritious options, obesity is at its highest rate.
With more online connection, we are lonelier, depressed, suicidal.
With busier schedules, we feel less productive.
With more sales, we spend more.
With more tech, thereâs less in-person true connection and lack of social skills.
With more opportunities, we feel lost or never enough.
With an abundance of media, controversy, debate, and consumption, we produce, think, and retain less.
With fancier titles and positions, thereâs a lack of purpose.Â
More doesnât always mean better.Â
The key to almost everything in life is moderation.Â
From exercise to work, if we slowed down and paid attention to how we actually felt and didnât compare ourselves to each other, we would appreciate our work more and actually want to do it instead of feeling forced.
Taking a break is never lazy. It is the most productive thing you can do.
Focus on quality not quantity and less = more.
