Strive to talk to someone new each day. This may seem difficult but if you want to, there’s always a way. People are more willing to talk to us than we believe. We all didn’t know each other at one point.
Social connection improves memory, concentration, fulfillment, satisfaction, cognitive ability, confidence, and sleep. You can learn far more from someone than a textbook and practice your body language and social cues at the same time. Soft skills are the new hidden hard skills.
According to researchers, a 10 min face to face conversation is better for your mind and body than a rigorous solo workout. There’s no better feeling than learning something new about someone and making a deep connection. People want to get deep and answer questions that make them think. The next time you have writer’s block or are down, have a conversation with someone who is willing to listen. It’ll make you feel better than any self-help guide or app.
Any conversation I have is the highlight of my day. Be grateful you are able to learn all around you from all walks of life. Prioritize daily connection for longevity happiness, ease, creativity, and growth!
Someone always knows something you don’t. Never judge a book by its cover and never stop connecting on LinkedIn and beyond.
