🤑Why An Abundance Mindset Will Save Your Life

When I first unpacked my bags at college almost 3 years ago now, I learned about the scarcity versus abundance mindset right in front of my eyes.

Although I’ve lived in the Big Apple all my life, downtown in college I learned firsthand there’s really no one size fits all approach to anything.

During the pandemic, the world discovered the transformative impact of flexible work, and more than ever before, the most bargaining power is in the next generation’s hands.

Nowadays and to stay, companies that offer flexible work options have a competitive edge and more people are taking the risks to forge their own path, reliant on themselves not only their employer’s paycheck this time. With a less rigid view and more diversified open perspective, an abundance of opportunities and supplemental streams of income and lifestyle are available.

From time to time, typically when we are jealous or insecure, we tend to get into the habit of focusing on what we don’t have instead of what we do have. It’s an easy trigger to blame others instead of ourselves.

There’s always something we don’t have but instead of making it seem we don’t have enough, make it a goal to find out what you’re capable of instead.

Behind every obstacle, you have the chance to see a better version of yourself. Not having anything to strive for is dangerous. Growing up in an ultra-wealthy household isn’t any more stable as a heir than with less since it distracts you from making any progress as you falsy believe you already have enough not driven to do more.

If you pay attention to what’s not working, you will forever be miserable. So I urge you to always pay attention to what you do have not what you don’t and create your own options through an abundance mindset.

Realize this. What you have, someone is working really hard towards obtaining. It’s unfortunate that millions work harder than those at the top of their league yet weren’t able to crack the code. This is oftentimes a result of staying too comfortable, not taking enough calculated risks, not investing early enough, following a linear path, relying too heavily on accolades and titles, and not putting enough emphasis on people, EQ, soft skills, and relationships. Skills will get you through the door and people will help you stay there. If the abundance mindset can teach you anything, it’s that people are always here to help you, but just don’t rely on them too heavily since we all need to support ourselves at the end of the day.

The person you chose to spend the rest of your life with is arguably the most important decision you will make. The same goes for what you chase and believe is out there for you. What you focus on, you become.

You can choose to believe everyone is stealing from you and there’s not enough room at the top or know you have the power to join by choice.

Beyond flexibility, work-life balance, the wage-price spiral, at-home and meme stocks, and inflationary concerns, the pandemic has taught us that there are an abundance of options to shape the way we work, life, stay healthy, and breathe and it is in our hands to control, negotiate, and ask for it, not just during inflationary 40-year highs. There is plenty to share and an abundance of what you deserve and need right in front of you. Take calculated bets.

More risk = more reward. If you believe everything is scarce, it will be harder to have opportunities find you and the hidden rewards beneath them.

Everything you want is already in existence. It is waiting for you.
